Kevin Roberts sings new deal for 2025/26!
Chester FC are delighted to announce that Kevin Roberts has signed a new one-year-deal to remain at the Deva Stadium in a player/physio role.
The versatile defender featured on 36 occasions in the National League North last term and started in all of the Blues’ play-off encounters.
A mainstay at right-back throughout the second-half of the campaign, the 35-year-old appeared in all-but-one of our fixtures since the New Year’s day clash with Southport.
Roberts has made 211 appearances for the reformed club, the joint second most in our history alongside Declan Weeks.
Alongside his playing duties, the 35-year-old will continue to play a crucial role in the club’s medical department.
Roberts has handled daily treatments during the week for the past three seasons, as well as an important role in monitoring the rehabilitation programmes for players.
He added to his experience in 2022 when he completed a Physiotherapy degree at the University of Salford.
Kev was delighted after he put pen-to-paper on a new deal: “I’m absolutely buzzing to continue at this club for another year.
“This will be my tenth season as a first team player over two spells at Chester and the my 13th season if you include Academy. I’m also really excited to continue my role in the medical department alongside Luke Davies.
“Hopefully we can go one step further this year after last season, which we were be proud of but ended in disappointment.
“We are all hungry to make that next step. UTS!”
Great to have you on board for 25/26, Kev.
