LOAN WATCH | Tom Crawford & Matty Waters

Tom Crawford has made an impressive start to his loan move over at NWCFL leaders Runcorn Town, being part of the 1-0 win at home to Hanley Town which proceeded a 3-2 away win at Irlam.

Matty Waters has joined Sutton Coldfield Town on a 28-day loan. Waters has featured for The Royals over the past 10 days against Stourbridge, Warrington Town and Tuesday’s 3-2 reverse at home to Stafford Rangers.

Assistant Manager Ross Thorpe said: “The feedback has been great, the lads are getting valuable game time but we know it’s so much more than just ‘getting minutes’.

“Tom Crawford is at Runcorn who are competing for Promotion and Matty is experiencing the Evo-Stik Premier Division against some really strong teams so it’s about what they take from this physically and mentally.

“We have taken them out of the environment at Chester and told them to go and express themselves where people don’t know them, and so far, so good.”
