MATCH PREVIEW | AFC Telford vs Chester | National League North

A storming start to September has seen the Blues keep pace near the summit of the National League North, and tomorrow they head to AFC Telford.

With Chester FC fans expected to travel in their numbers after a promising opening ten games, Saturday’s match hopefully will provide an incredible atmosphere. Last weekends victory, along with Kings Lynn and York City dropping points, sees Bern and Jonno’s side two points off the top with just one defeat in ten.

After a controversial loss at Spennymoor, the team have knuckled down and bounced back with two successive three-one wins at Curzon and against Guiseley at home. Kevin Roberts limped off in the last match, and could miss the game. However, Jamie Morgan’s performance at right back was a big positive and the flying full back could make his first league start for the Blues. Danny Livesey will also return from suspension.

AFC Telford finished one place above Chester last season – narrowly missing out on the play-offs after spending most of the season within the top seven. Bern and Jonno’s side will be hoping for revenge after a 3-1 defeat in this fixture last season – and it promises to be yet another tricky game and a test of the Blues promotion credentials.

Hopefully the players embrace what promises to be a superb atmosphere tomorrow at Telford. Come on you Blues!
