MATCH PREVIEW | AFC Telford vs Chester

It feels like an eternity, but the Blues are finally back in action this weekend – making a trip to AFC Telford.

Two weeks will have passed by the time tomorrow’s game kicks off since our last action – and Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley will be desperate for their side to bounce back from the 8-1 defeat to Blyth.

Midfielder Gary Roberts was shown a straight red card and begins his three match ban tomorrow, but could welcome back Scott Burton – who recovered from his injury two weeks ago to make a return from the bench during the game at Croft Park.

A setback on the attacking front has seen Shaun Tuton seal a move to Spennymoor, as Bern and Jonno hunt for a replacement in the forward line.

Scorelines out of the equation, a win a draw and a loss represents a steady start for Chester this term. Due to the flood damage at the ground there are no home games for the remainder of this month – so this game is our last of August.

AFC Telford are going to be a tough test for the Blues. Unbeaten already this term, they came back from Spennymoor last weekend with a superb 3-2 victory. Impressive home wins against Southport and Brackley have also seen Gavin Cowan’s side sit in third place with 11 points from five matches.

A potential reunion at New Bucks Head could see Daniel Udoh line up for the hosts against Chester. Udoh had a loan spell at the Swansway Chester Stadium last season from Crewe.
