MATCH PREVIEW | Blyth Spartans vs Chester | National League North
The five unbeaten Blues make yet another long trip tomorrow afternoon – visiting Blyth Spartans.
Despite Saturday’s opposition sitting bottom of the pile, their league position doesn’t quite tell the whole story. Lee Clark’s side have won their last two league games – incidentally their only two NLN victories of the season – and will be hoping to make it three tomorrow and climb out of the bottom two.
The dangerman is sure to be Callum Roberts. A winger who was seen unfortunate to be released by Newcastle United, Roberts is flourishing at Croft Park with nine goals in nine games. He scored a hat-trick in their win over AFC Telford last month and the defenders will have to be at their best to keep him out.
With York City in Emirates FA Cup action, the Blues have the slim chance to go top with a win by a margin of three goals or more. Then the top two go head to head next Saturday at the Deva Stadium. Chester FC are unbeaten in five league matches now since their first and only league loss this term at Spennymoor at the end of August.
Kick off tomorrow is 3pm!
