MATCH PREVIEW | Blyth Spartans vs Chester

Game 40 of the National League North season for the Blues comes in the North East, as we face Blyth Spartans.

Calum McIntyre’s side still sit third in the table after last weekend’s entertaining draw against play-off rivals Scarborough Athletic. Despite losing Rhys Hughes prior to the game, who has been recalled by Tranmere Rovers, the Blues’ midfield ranks have been bolstered this week with the loan signing of Elliott Whitehouse from Scunthorpe United.

Blyth have failed to win in four and are four points adrift of Leamington in 20th, although they do have a game in hand on the Brakes. Last season the Blues secured a hugely important three points at Croft Park courtesy of goals from Matty Williams, Marcus Dackers and George Glendon.

Kick off on Saturday afternoon is 3pm.
