MATCH PREVIEW | Bradford (Park Avenue) vs Chester | National League North
Chester face their first away game in over a month tomorrow – with a trip to basement side Bradford (Park Avenue).
Following defeat at York City on the first day of February, the Blues have since defeated Blyth and King’s Lynn at the 1885 Arena, before defeat two weeks ago at home to Brackley.
Last Saturday’s home game against Gateshead was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch – along with our last scheduled away game in the middle of Feb at Alfreton. However, Tuesday’s Cheshire Senior Cup win against Tranmere Rovers brings confidence into this match.
Danny Elliott and George Waring both started up top on their returns, the former scoring the only goal of the game from the spot. There was also an encouraging performance from Elton Ngwatala, who was named Man of the Match for his 65 minute display.
BPA haven’t won a game in ten matches, and are rock bottom of the table, sitting 15 points from safety. Chester could welcome back Akwasi Asante from injury tomorrow, meaning there’s plenty of options up top for the Blues. Louis Gray is set for his league debut after a clean sheet in midweek, while Russ Griffiths has joined AFC Telford on loan.
It’s a massive game in a critical time of the season. Come on you Blues!
