After a frustrating goalless draw on Saturday, the Blues look to advance into Round Two of the Trophy at the 1885 Arena this evening.
It was an afternoon of many chances, without the Blues forward line converting any of those opportunities. A similar story to Darlington the previous weekend, and Joint Managers Bern and Jonno will be asking their side to be clinical in front of goal as we reach a hectic and crucial part of the season.
There are no new injuries worries for the Blues, with a good opportunity in front of the home faithful to advance to a Second Round Clash away at Royston Town.
Should the Blues be successful tonight, we will travel to Garden Walk on Saturday 11th January.
Due to King’s Lynn Town already progressing in the Trophy, our scheduled National League North game against them on the 11th will be rescheduled for another date. This will be announed in due course.
If the scores are level after 90 minutes, the game tonight will go to Extra Time and then – if required – penalties.
Home fans will be housed in the Swansway Chester (East) Stand, the Harry McNally (North) Terrace and the Swettenham Chemists Community (West) Stand. Away fans will also be segregated in the West Stand.
Prize money for Round One is £4,500 for the winners, and the losers receive £1,500. See you tonight!
