MATCH PREVIEW | Chester vs Kettering Town

The Blues return to a league focus this weekend after two positive Cup performances – as Kettering Town visit CH1.

After taking National League side Oldham Athletic to a midweek replay, Calum McIntyre’s side were two minutes from the FA Cup First Round Proper. A late Mike Fondop extra time header and then a penalty shootout defeat saw them exit the competition, but there is lots for the club to build on.

Post-match in midweek, Manager McIntyre dubbed Saturday’s game as ‘the biggest game of the season’ – as his side aim to start to try and build some league momentum and kick on towards the play-off places.

They host a Kettering Town side who sit 20th in the table so far, but are the only team to defeat league leaders King’s Lynn this term, so will prove to be a tough test.

Kick off on Saturday afternoon is 3pm.
