MATCH PREVIEW | Chorley vs Chester

The Blues face perhaps their toughest test to date tomorrow afternoon, with a trip to the runaway leaders – Chorley.

It is sure to be a crunch clash, with both sides in superb form. Chorley have home advantage and have won all of their games at Victory Park so far. They sit top of the table, nine points clear, having won nine of their opening ten matches.

But Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley’s side are five unbeaten in the National League North – that run extended to six last Saturday with a convincing FA Cup win against City of Liverpool.

Top scorer Anthony Dudley missed the game through injury, but Chester will be hoping he can return to action and provide a threat up top. However, firepower is in abundance with Matty Hughes facing his former club after a brace in the last league game against Kidderminster. Craig Mahon has been a threat this season as well providing the assists, and on-loan Dan Mooney returns tomorrow after being cup tied last weekend.

Chester have an excellent record of two wins from two at Victory Park since reforming, a 1-0 win in 2010/11 was followed up with a 2-0 victory the following season.

The game is all-ticket, and promises to be an exciting encounter.
