MATCH PREVIEW | Hereford vs Chester

The Blues will be looking to bounce back to winning ways tomorrow afternoon – with a trip to Edgar Street to face Hereford.

A 3-0 Boxing Day defeat at Southport was Chester’s first loss of the month, and will be hoping to welcome back key players in Danny Livesey, Gary Stopforth and Akwasi Asante – who all missed the game on Wednesday due to injury.

Courtesy of other results though, Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley’s side remain third in the National League North – proof of an excellent first half of the campaign which has grown new positivity around the Swansway Chester Stadium.

Hereford have had a difficult season so far back in the National League North. The surprising sacking of treble title winning Manager Peter Beadle in September has seen the club restructure – appointing Tim Harris Head of Football and Marc Richards Head Coach. They had a fantastic Boxing Day win over the Blues Play-Off rivals Kidderminster Harriers.

The Bulls sit 19th in the table with 21 points, only above FC United on goal difference; but with a game in hand.

In the reverse fixture at the start of October, the Blues won 3-0. Goals from Matty Hughes, John Pritchard and Deane Smalley sealed the win.
