MATCH PREVIEW | Kidderminster vs Chester | National League North

A busy Bank Holiday weekend of action begins in Worcestershire tomorrow afternoon, as the Blues face Kidderminster.

Five games down and still unbeaten, Chester FC have made a good start to their second season back in the National League North. Joint Bosses Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley would have been delighted with last Saturday’s win against Gloucester City, which was probably the best performance of the lot thus far.

Four different goalscorers on the mark, the Blues romped to victory in a convincing performance against a Gloucester City team who had won nine of the last ten away games prior. One of those matches was victory at tomorrow’s opponents Kidderminster.

John Pemberton took over in the summer at the Harriers and has had a mixed start to the new season. A home draw and defeat to Leamington and AFC Telford was followed by impressive away wins since at Bradford PA and Curzon Ashton – with that loss to Gloucester in between.

Both sides won their home game when the two teams went head to head last season. The Blues beating Kidderminster in a cracker at the Deva 3-1 – before the hosts won 4-1 in the reverse at Aggborough in February. The Blues will be hoping for revenge tomorrow afternoon and continue their fantastic unbeaten run going into Monday’s home clash with Hereford.
