MATCH PREVIEW | Stockport County vs Chester

The third placed Blues travel to Edgeley Park tomorrow afternoon – for what promises to be a tough test in a fantastic atmosphere against Stockport County.

Two former league clubs with good fanbases and history – this promises to be an exciting encounter. Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley’s side will be looking to keep pace with top of the table Bradford Park Avenue; but it won’t be easy.

Stockport sit in 12th in the table and – with games in hand – they expect to be challenging in and around the Play-Offs come April. Last weekend their Emirates FA Cup adventure came to an end, narrowly losing away at Barnet. In a 2800 attendance at The Hive, County made up 1500 of those fans.

For Chester it will be more of the same from last Saturday. They got back to winning ways in style last Saturday with a 3-1 win over Darlington and a perfect hat-trick for Akwasi Asante.

Dan Mooney was sent off six days ago and has a one-match ban for the game, but Gary Roberts returns from suspension.

The last time the two sides met was in 2014, Chester winning a thriller at Edgeley Park 4-2 in an FA Cup Qualifying Round match.
