MATCHDAY | Community Day is this Saturday at the Swansway Chester Stadium!
Saturday’s game with Leamington is the club’s annual Community Day.
The themed fixture will celebrate the supporter-owned club’s links with communities across Chester and beyond as well as showcasing the work of the Community Trust, who will be the match sponsors, within the city.
Hundreds of free tickets will be available for children from local schools and grassroots clubs to pack out the Intilery South Stand for the match and take part in a half-time parade around the pitch.
Pre-game there will be a host of activities on offer at the Swansway Chester Stadium including free face painting, football inflatables and lots more!
The Community Trust, who will be raising funds at the match to support the charity’s work, will be running free football sessions on the day for boys and girls along with walking football taster sessions for older supporters.
Jim Green, chief executive of Chester FC Community Trust, said: “We’re really excited for this year’s Community Day and we’re hoping a bumper crowd will come along to enjoy the occasion and support Bern, Jonno and the team.
“This is the first time we’ve had a designated fixture for Community Day and it’s a great opportunity to acknowledge our role as a community club and hopefully welcome some new fans to the Chester FC family.
“The Community Trust will be contacting schools and clubs over the next week to invite them to join us on the day and more details about what’s planned will be announced as we build up to the game.”
Jeff Banks, director of fan engagement at Chester FC, said: “The Community Day represents a big chance to showcase everything that’s great about Chester FC and the Community Trust.
“We look forward to hosting the many local schools and clubs on the day who I’m sure will enjoy the occasion, and we would love to see all fans share in that experience too and appeal to everyone to put that date in their diary and help us celebrate Community Day!”
