Metlab Supplies renew sponsorship of Mike Metcalf Stand!

Chester FC are delighted to announce that Metlab Supplies have extended their sponsorship of the Mike Metcalf Stand for a further season!

The West Stand was renamed in Mike’s honour last summer. An inductee of the club’s Hall of Fame, Metcalf made 221 Football League appearances for the club and was part of the ‘Famous Five’ forward line that each scored more than 20 goals in all competitions in the 1964/65 season.

Metlab Supplies was the business that Mike established back in 1984 and is now ran by his sons Barry and Ian, who have committed to sponsoring his stand for a second successive season.

Chester FC General Manager Albert Davies said: “We’re thrilled that Metlab Supplies have renewed their sponsorship with us for the 2025/26 campaign.

“It’s a fitting tribute to a Chester great and we really appreciate the support of the entire Metcalf family and also Metlab as a business.

“They are now entering their second year of sponsorship with us, and we’re proud to see them strengthening their commitment — joining the ranks of long-standing partners like MBNA and Precision Facades in supporting our continued success.”

Metlab Supplies Ltd is a family-run business with customer relationships at the forefront. They are an independent supplier of laboratory consumables and chemicals from a range of over 2,000 suppliers.

Operating their own fleet of delivery vehicles, they service the entire UK from their 60,000 sq ft warehouse on the North Wales/Cheshire border.
