Mitch Hancox departs Chester FC

We can confirm that midfielder Mitch Hancox has departed Chester FC to take up an opportunity with another club.

The 31-year-old joined the Blues in the summer and went on to make 17 appearances for the club, which included six starts.

Manager Calum McIntyre said: “Logistics have made it very difficult for us to see the best version of Mitch during the first part of the season. With a significant commute of a six hour round trip each day, an opportunity has developed for Mitch to play closer to home.

“His attitude during his time with us was first class and I genuinely wish him all the best for the rest of the season and beyond.

“Mitch moving creates the opportunity to reinvest a wage elsewhere in squad. We want to make three or four signings during January and finances will dictate exactly what our recruitment is this month.”
