PLAYER OF THE MONTH – GARY STOPFORTH

The midfielder is in sublime form at the moment. He has played every minute of the Chester FC campaign thus far and has impressed fans with his heart, desire and energy in the middle of the park. Some say he’s started running to matches now instead of taking the car!

A fantastic 810 of you voted, and Stopforth won 47% of the vote, with the impressive Craig Mahon coming in second with 30%.

GOAL OF THE MONTH – MATTY HUGHES VS KIDDERMINSTER

What a goal it was, and what a crucial time in a massive National League North game.

Hughes, at 2-1 up and with already a goal under his belt, bullied Jimmy O’Connor to the ground in pursuit of a Mahon ball forward and then slotted beyond the keeper from a tight angle to make it another magical night under the lights at the Swansway.

Matty won 58% of the 205 votes – leaving Dan Mooney’s excellent curling effort against Bradford PA in second place with 20%.
