Nathan Woodthorpe signs new deal at Chester FC
Chester FC are delighted to announce that left-back Nathan Woodthorpe has signed a new deal with the club!
Nat has been an ever present in the side this season, making 51 appearances and contributing five assists in the process.
Like recent Blues Tom Peers and Jack Bainbridge who also put pen to paper, Woodthorpe has signed a new one-year contract with an option to extend further.
The 23-year-old joined the Blues two years ago and broke into the side during the back end of the 2023/24 campaign, before making the left-back spot his own during 2024/25.
After signing up for the upcoming season, Nathan said: “It was a no brainer for me to stay, the club gave me a great platform and opportunity to prove my ability after a long term injury and I’m absolutely loving my football here.
“It’s a special group and a special club. We’ve got a job to finish off and I’m buzzing to be part of it again. We as a group know we will use the pain of how the season ended as fuel for next season.
“The support in the second half of the season especially was unbelievable and it’s something we can use in our favour as it’s so unique for the level.
“I’m looking forward to being back at the Deva next season.”
Great to have you staying on board, Nat!
