NATIONAL LEAGUE | Chester FC support #NoHomeKit campaign

Chester FC will be supporting Shelter’s #NoHomeKit campaign by wearing our yellow away kit on Boxing Day.

#NoHomeKit asks the football community to come together and ditch their home shirt, and instead wear an away kit, for the traditional Boxing Day fixtures.

The National League has pledged its support for the campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the scale of homelessness across the country as well as raising funds to support Shelter’s frontline services and its campaigns to end the housing emergency.

We will be wearing yellow for our Boxing Day match against AFC Telford United, who will play in their navy blue away kit, and we are encouraging fans to show their support for the campaign and wear their favourite away shirt for the game at New Bucks Head.

Homelessness has risen dramatically over the last decade and, since the start of the pandemic, a further 180,000 households have been made homeless. With a tough winter ahead, even more people could lose their homes. Shelter’s frontline services are working harder than ever to help people find and keep a home this Christmas, but they can’t do it alone.

If you would like to know more about the campaign or donate to Shelter, visit shelter.org.uk/nohomekit or text ‘HOME’ to 70455 to donate £5.
