NLN PREVIEW | Chester vs Chorley

The quick turnaround over the festive period sees the Blues host Chorley 48 hours following their Boxing Day success.

That brilliant win over AFC Telford in front of 1600 home fans was a first league victory on the road since the opening day of the season, and was reward for a dominant performance. Anthony Dudley made one and scored one in a Man of the Match performance – his 99th appearance for the club.

Chorley meanwhile had a slow start to the season following relegation from the National League, but are now starting to hit top form. Jamie Vermiglio’s men are unbeaten in eight in the league and have climbed up the table to 13th.

During this time, they’ve also pulled off two incredible FA Cup upsets on the road against Wigan Athletic and Peterborough United, and have a Third Round tie with Wayne Rooney’s Derby County on the horizon.

It begins a run of three home matches in eight days for the Blues, who moved up to third in the NLN standings on Boxing Day.
