POST MATCH | Jonno reacts to victory over Curzon Ashton
Blues Joint Boss Anthony Johnson faced the media last night after an excellent bounce back win over Curzon Ashton.
His and Bernard’s side came into the game off the back of two defeats, but the Gaffers were delighted with the response.
Speaking to BBC Radio Merseyside’s Neil Turner, Jonno said: “To bounce back and play with the tempo and intensity we did – that felt like a 2-1 battering.
“They (Curzon) have good players. They recruited really well. But we looked a level above them”
Jonno also spoke passionately on the football club and the hard work that is going in at the moment.
“As a football club over the last six months, I can’t tell you how proud I’ve been to be a part of it.
“The board are non stop grafting, the groundsman is here 24 hours a day and the pitch looks like Wembley. You’ve got a kitman who is grafting too, we’ve had seven games in three weeks now.
“People need to get behind us. As long as we all stay with it we’ll have a great season.”
