PREVIEW | AFC Telford vs Chester

For a second successive year, Boxing Day action takes the Blues to New Bucks Head to face AFC Telford United.

It is Manager Steve Watson’s first game in charge of Chester FC, after being appointed on 23rd December on an initial deal until the end of the season at the Deva Stadium.

His first task will be to try and bring the Blues their first away win of the season, and what would actually be their first since this fixture on the same date last year. Two wonderfully crafted moves saw George Glendon and Anthony Dudley bag goals which would give us a 2-1 win over the Bucks.

Telford sit bottom of the table at present. Their loss on Tuesday at home to Guiseley leaves them with just ten points from 16 games. Former Chester City title winning Captain Paul Carden is in charge of Sunday’s opponents, having arrived in Shropshire just over one month ago.

Kick off on Boxing Day is 3pm.
