Preview: Bishop’s Stortford (a)

National League North football returns this weekend as the Blues visit newly-promoted Bishop’s Stortford to kick off the season.

Calum McIntyre’s men had a productive pre-season fixture schedule, ending with a positive performance and 2-0 victory over Marine last Saturday.

After a third placed finish last term and a Play-Off Semi Final defeat, a new 46-game chapter starts for the Seals – looking to go one step beyond in 2023/24.

    THE OPPOSITION

Bishop’s Stortford were crowned Champions of the Isthmian Premier Division last season with 88 points from their 42 games. They had comfortably the best defensive record in the division, conceding on just 33 occasions.
