Preview: Boston United (h)
The Blues will look to continue their strong form this weekend when Boston United visit the Leap76 Stadium.
Last Saturday, Chester produced another excellent statement victory with a 2-0 success over second placed Tamworth. The win made it five unbeaten and secure back-to-back home wins – moving Calum McIntyre’s side back into the play-off spots.
For his side, the week just gone was a first fixtureless one for well over a month. Liam Edwards was the latest casualty in a line of injuries in our last match – coming off inside the first 20 minutes of the game.
OUR LAST MATCH
THE OPPOSITION
Boston currently sit in 13th place in the table after a run of three games without a win. However, the National League North remains as tight as ever with Ian Culverhouse’s side just five points behind the Blues.
The Pilgrims will be aiming to do the double this weekend, having defeated Chester 1-0 at the Jakeman’s Community Stadium back in September.
A 56th minute penalty from Martin Woods proved to be the difference, just moments after Declan Weeks had been denied from the spot at the other end.
