Preview: Brackley Town (h)

The Blues finally return to action at the Leap76 Stadium for the first time in over a month this midweek.

After Saturday’s postponement due to a frozen pitch, it’s one month and one day since our last fixture down CH1, the FA Cup goalless draw against York City.

For Calum McIntyre’s side, games in hand on those around them could see the Blues make their move into the top seven with some positive results against upcoming opponents.

This is our first meeting with Brackley Town since the NLN Play-Off Semi Final back in May.

    THE OPPOSITION

Brackley were beaten in that Play-Off Final by Kidderminster Harriers last season, but have shrugged off that disappointment and made a strong start to the season under new Manager Gavin Cowan – sitting 4th in the league.

The Saints were one of the few games to beat the freeze and get their game on over the weekend, and it paid off, beating Boston United 2-1 at home to make it back-to-back wins.
