PREVIEW | Bromley v Chester
After last weekend without a game, the Blues return to league action this Saturday with a trip to Bromley.
Last week’s Derby defeat to Wrexham has given the Blues time to recuperate, and Marcus Bignot has even brought in two new additions to the side.
Ryan Rainey makes the move to the Swansway from Wolves on a one-month loan deal, whilst Myles Anderson joins the Blues from Torquay United on a temporary deal until the end of January.
Bromley have surprised a few doubters in the early stages of the season. Their recruitment proved crucial this summer to further their successes off the pitch, with a new 3G pitch installed at the stadium.
Chester-born winger Adam Mekki joined the Lilywhites from Tranmere in the summer, and Neil Smith has recently added experienced ex-Wrexham midfielder Dominic Vose to his squad.
Currently in 6th place, Bromley’s results and consistency has been all over the place at times.
A comfortable 6-1 victory over Leyton Orient was soon followed by a 5-1 hammering by Dagenham and Redbridge just one week later.
HISTORY BOOKS
Last time out against the Ravens, Chester were victorious at Hayes Lane courtesy of a 81st minute strike from Elliott Durrell.
Records show however that both sides have similar records against each other – playing four times, winning once, drawing twice and losing once.
Bromley’s only victory over the Blues came in their first season at non-league’s highest level, with Louis Dennis and a Moses Emmanuel brace securing all three points in 2015 – when Tom Peers made his final league appearance for Chester

Josh Rees
It was some October for Bromley’s lead marksman. Scoring four goals in four games secured the 24-year old with National League’s player of the month award.
The midfielder did not only catch the eye of his team-mates, supporters and opposition, but also the eye of the management of England C too.
A well disciplined playmaker, Rees learned his trade at Arsenal and Nottingham Forest – clubs with a pedigree of producing talent for the future.
