Preview: Chester FC U19 vs South Shields U19

Our U19 side aim to return to winning ways this Wednesday as they host South Shields.

A 1-0 defeat to Blyth Spartans last week ended the seals’ unbeaten start to the 2025/26 campaign.

Chester now sit in fifth place, eight points behind top spot.

The visitors, in seventh, have won four and lost five of their opening nine matches. A 4-0 win over FC Halifax Town was the last outing for the Mariners.

Before last week’s loss, Chester were on a winning run of seven games, and maintain the best defensive record in the league.

As January comes to a close, a busy February is coming up for the young Seals, with three league fixtures and a quarter-final tie in the National League Academy Cup.
