Preview: Chester U19 vs York City U19

Chester FC U19s continue their busy schedule this Wednesday as York City travel to the KGV Sports Hub.

The Seals are aiming to make it back-to-back wins after last week’s convincing 3-0 win over South Shields.

A crucial month looms ahead for Chester, who are six points behind top spot with two games in hand over the top two – Gateshead and Blyth Spartans.

The Minstermen are currently in eighth place, winning four out of their 11 opening games.

Last Wednesday, the Yorkshire side came back from 2-0 down to earn a hard-fought point away at FC Halifax Town.

The two sides met back in November, where Chester defeated York 4-0 in the first round of the National League U19 Academy Cup.

It is two meetings in one month between these sides, as Chester travel to North Yorkshire on the 25th February for the return fixture.

This tie will be Chester’s third consecutive home game, before a trip to AFC Fylde next Wednesday.
