PREVIEW | Chester vs AFC Telford

The Blues kick off 2022 with a home game against AFC Telford United.

Manager Steve Watson will be looking to extend his unbeaten start as Blues boss, with a win and a draw from his first two matches. This is the second part of the festive double header against the Bucks, as Chester got their first away win of the season on Boxing Day with a 3-1 victory.

Watson’s men followed it up with a 2-2 draw against big spending AFC Fylde, as the Blues were more than a match for arguably the strongest opposition in the league, only denied three points by a 90th minute strike. Darren Stephenson was on the scoresheet once again, making it three matches in a row he’s scored for the club.

Paul Carden’s Telford will be looking to build on their positive fightback on the 28th. 2-0 down at Leamington with a few minutes to play, two late goals saw them clinch an important point.

Kick off on Sunday afternoon is 3pm. Attending the game? Read our #MatchDayInfo here: CLICK HERE
