PREVIEW | Chester vs Kettering Town
The Blues will be looking to build on last Saturday’s excellent away victory, as Kettering Town visit CH1 this weekend.
Chester’s 3-1 win in the North East against Blyth was a huge boost following five defeats in a row prior. Marcus Dackers was on the scoresheet, and this week he has seen his loan deal from Salford City extended until the end of the campaign.
Manager Steve Watson has also bolstered his options today with the arrivals of midfielder Matt Sargent and striker Dan Griffiths; while James Hardy has joined Buxton on loan. Anthony Dudley is expected to miss out due to illness, while Rob Apter is unavailable after being called up for the Scotland U19 squad.
Kettering Town haven’t won in three, and their last win in the league was also at Blyth Spartans; a 2-1 victory. Ian Culverhouse is in charge at the Poppies now after Paul Cox departed for Boston in January. In the reverse fixture earlier this campaign, the two sides played out a goalless draw at Latimer Park.
