PREVIEW | Eastleigh vs Chester

A busy September concludes for the Blues tomorrow – as another long trip takes Chester south once again; to face Eastleigh.

The game will be Marcus Bignot’s second in charge of the Seals – his first was an excellent 2-0 victory at home to Maidenhead on Saturday.

The win was the Blues’ first at the Swansway this calendar year. Bignot will be looking to make it two from two – after goals from Ryan Astles and Ross Hannah secured the win last weekend.

The result didn’t quite lift the Blues out of the bottom four – but victory on Saturday could move them as high as 18th place.

Chester will be encouraged by a 3-0 victory in this fixture during the 2016/17 campaign.

Eastleigh sit in 15th place in the National League table this term. Victory away at in-form Hartlepool last weekend was their first of the month.

Goals in a five minute spell from Lincoln loanee Callum Howe and Mark Yeates sealed the victory – despite an injury time consolation from Jack Munns for the Pools.

An experienced side Managed by Richard Hill, the Spitfires only sit five points outside the play-offs in a wide open National League.
