SCA2608 Calum McIntyre

    Preview: Farsley Celtic (h)

Following back-to-back away defeats, the Blues complete the Bank Holiday weekend looking to return to winning ways against Farsley Celtic.

Chester were beaten 1-0 for the second successive Saturday at Scarborough, as a stoppage time free kick gave the hosts the win despite a positive performance which was probably worthy of a point.

Harrison Burke was sent off after adjudged to have handled on the line, but his one-match ban will not kick in until Saturday’s trip to Spennymoor – making him available for this fixture.

    THE OPPOSITION

After narrowly escaping the drop last season in the National League North, a summer overhaul has so far paid dividends for the Celt Army – as they remain unbeaten this term under new Player/Manager Clayton Donaldson.

Former Blue Darren Stephenson joined the club in the summer and makes his return to the Leap76 Stadium on Monday. Daz was on the scoresheet on Saturday for Farsley but they were denied three points at home to Tamworth following an injury time penalty.
