Preview: Warrington Town (h)
Merry Christmas, Blues! Our Boxing Day fixture is a first home game on 26th December since 2017, as we host Warrington Town.
Saturday’s draw at Blyth Spartans was a positive point in many respects, but the Seals were made to rue missed chances having dominated the game and came close on several occasions to scoring a winner.
Nevertheless, it’s now seven unbeaten going into the festive double header against Warrington, and a big opportunity against tough opposition to start to strengthen a play-off position.
THE OPPOSITION
Warrington Town have made an excellent start to life in the National League North following play-off success last season.
They sit 10th in the table, and are just two points behind Curzon in seventh, and three behind the Blues in sixth.
Warrington are managed by former Chester striker Mark Beesley, taking over two years ago following the departure of Paul Carden.
