Preview: York City U19 vs Chester U19

Chester FC U19 return to league action this Wednesday with a trip to York City.

The Seals sealed their spot in the National League Academy Cup semi finals last week after defeating Hartlepool United 3-1 at the KGV Sports Hub.

The win was the Blues’ fourth consecutive win in all competitions, as they aim to finish an impressive season with silverware.

Last time out in the National League Youth Alliance, Chester put four past AFC Fylde to move up to third in the league, sitting nine points behind leaders Gateshead with three games in hand.

The hosts sit in tenth place, and were narrowly beaten 2-1 at Gateshead last Wednesday.

York City and Chester have met twice this season, including the reverse league fixture earlier this month which ended in a 2-1 win for the Seals.

The sides also met in the first round of the National League Academy Cup in November, where Chester won 4-0.

It will be a well-earned week break for Chester FC U19 after Wednesday’s fixture, before facing Altrincham away on 11th March.
