Relive our 20-match unbeaten home run
The Blues’ 1-1 draw on Saturday against Scarborough Athletic extended our unbeaten run at the Deva Stadium to 20 games stretching over 320 days!
Let’s take a trip down memory lane and revisit every one of those battles down CH1.
02.11.24 – Chester FC 3-0 Hereford
Calum McIntyre’s side bounced back from a five-match winless run with a stunning success over Hereford. New signing Will Hugill flew out of the traps with an assist in the first minute as the Burnley loanee crossed for Charlie Caton to head home. Charlie grabbed another late on after Tom Peers had doubled the lead just after the hour mark.
23.11.24 – Chester FC 2-1 Chorley
National League North leaders Chorley were blown away at the Deva in late November. Peers opened the scoring with a clever flicked finish from a low Caton cross before Harrison Burke sent a trademark header past Matt Urwin to seal victory late on. A tough test passed in superb fashion down CH1.
26.11.24 – Chester FC 3-1 Oxford City
A night that sticks in the memory courtesy of a first Chester FC men’s hat-trick in over five years. It came from Tom Peers who swept aside Oxford City just a few days after the Chorley success. A trio of clinical finishes warmed up supporters on a bitterly cold night at the Deva, as the Blues’ winning run in the league stretched to three matches.
21.12.24 – Chester FC 1-1 King’s Lynn Town
A tough tussle against play-off rivals King’s Lynn saw a contest settled by first-half goals at either end. Caton bagged his final goal at the Deva in the early stages before his move to Accrington Stanley in January, but an equaliser from Jonny Margetts in the 41st minute meant the points were shared.
01.01.25 – Chester FC 0-0 Southport
2025 began in slow fashion with a goalless draw at the Deva Stadium, as the Blues struggled to break down a stubborn Southport back line. This remains the most recent occasion when we have failed to register a goal in a home clash.
18.01.25 – Chester FC 2-0 Alfreton Town
The Blues left it late after a physical battle with Alfreton, but both Burke and Peers found the net in the final 20 minutes to earn all three points. Burke latched on to a loose ball inside the six-yard box after Connell Rawlinson’s header bounced back off the post, before our number seven bagged one of the standout goals from the entirety of 24/25. Weeks floated a delightful ball in behind the away defence and gave Peers a fantastic opportunity to lob the goalkeeper and secure victory.
21.01.25 – Chester FC 1-0 Spennymoor Town
A night to remember for Dan Mooney came just a few days later as the Seals recorded a fourth win on the spin. The forward came off the bench just hours after signing for the club and netted the sole goal in the contest with a drilled strike after Nathan Woodthorpe’s effort had clattered back off the upright.
11.02.25 – Chester FC 1-1 Kidderminster Harriers
An important clash at the top of the National League North was settled inside the first half as both sides earned a point. Burkey netted another fantastic header to grab the lead in the sixth minute before Harriers’ talisman Ashley Hemmings equalised shortly after the half-hour mark.
15.02.25 – Chester FC 4-0 Rushall Olympic
The Blues romped to a comfortable success over the Pics in mid-February, as both Peers and Burke continued their unbelievable goalscoring form. Tom got two, one coming from the penalty spot in the early stages. Harrison left his mark on the match with one before Kurt Willoughby got in on the act late on courtesy of a curled strike from just outside the 18-yard box.
01.03.25 – Chester FC 1-1 Needham Market
A frustrating afternoon down CH1 as the Blues were held by relegation-fighting Needham Market. AFC Fylde loanee Taelor O’Kane looked to have put the hosts in the perfect position after four minutes, but the Marketmen proved to be tricky opposition following Teddy Collis’ first-half equaliser.
11.03.25 – Chester FC 3-1 Warrington Town
Mooney crowned success with a sensational strike from the halfway line against the Yellows, after goals from Peers and O’Kane had responded well to Aaron James’ opener for Warrington in the early reckonings.
15.03.25 – Chester FC 1-0 Leamington
Captain Connell’s early headed finish from a well-directed corner was enough for the Blues to defy the Brakes down CH1. A gritty display against a disciplined Leamington outfit to cap off six points in four days at the Deva.
29.03.25 – Chester FC 1-1 Curzon Ashton
The clash with the Nash started in comical fashion as Will Hayhurst inadvertently turned into his own net just before the 15-minute mark. Craig Mahon’s Curzon bounced back swiftly and equalised just three minutes later through Alex Curran, before restricting the contest to a limited number of clear-cut chances for the remainder.
12.04.25 – Chester FC 2-1 Darlington
Connor Woods’ first goal at the Deva came against the Quakers just a week after his first in a Chester shirt away at Hereford. The former Warrington Town man flicked home from close-range after Peers had levelled from the penalty spot.
21.04.25 – Chester FC 2-1 Marine
Two academy graduates got the goals to sweep aside Neil Young’s Marine side during the final contest of the regular league campaign at the Deva. Iwan Murray stole the show with a sensational lob from outside the box to earn a two-goal cushion, following Burke’s opener on the ten-minute mark.
30.04.25 – Chester FC 2-1 Buxton (AET)
A night that will live long in the memory for anyone present. Murray set our play-off campaign alight in the second minute with a low finish that sent the Deva into raptures. The Bucks responded quickly and equalised through Tom Elliott just before the 20-minute mark. A nervy contest ensued, followed by a period of extra-time that seemed destined for spot-kicks, only for Harrison Burke to pop up with the all-important moment with 108 minutes on the clock. Jack Bainbridge knocked the ball down inside the 18-yard box for Burke, who latched on to it and volleyed with power into the back of the net. A night of ecstasy down CH1 as the Blues won a play-off contest for the first time ever.
09.08.25 – Chester FC 3-2 Peterborough Sports
Our 25/26 home account opened in entertaining fashion as an opener from Fin Roberts was added to by a brace from Dylan Mottley-Henry to claim all three points. Josiah Dyer levelled for the Turbines twice in the first period, but a composed finish from DMH early in the second period secured all three points.
19.08.25 – Chester FC 1-1 Curzon Ashton
The Blues were once again frustrated by a solid Curzon side that managed to escape with a share of the points. Connor Woods’ first-half spot kick was cancelled out almost immediately after the interval by a lobbed finish from Jack Stobbs.
25.08.25 – Chester FC 2-1 Oxford City
Two first-time Chester FC goalscorers earned all three points for the Seals on Bank Holiday Monday. Scott Burgess scored his maiden goal just a minute prior to the dismissal of Hoops midfielder Alfie Potter for a late challenge on Weeks. Striker Isaac Westendorf equalised for the visitors before Nathan Woodthorpe finally got his name on the scoresheet with a poked finish.
08.09.25 – Chester FC 1-1 Scarborough Athletic
A frustrating afternoon down CH1 saw Mottley-Henry salvage a point late on after the Blues had dominated possession for the majority of the clash. Rio Allen opened the scoring for the Seadogs early on with a powerful finish from an acute angle before DMH popped up in the 95th minute with a glanced header that levelled the contest.
As always, thank you for your exceptional support. We’ll be back at the Deva on the 4th October for the visit of Merthyr Town. UTS!
