Ryan Astles extends his stay at Chester FC

Chester Football Club are delighted to announce that defender Ryan Astles has extended his stay with the Blues for the 2017-18 season.

Still only 23 years old, Ryan joined the club in January 2016 from Northwich Vics and immediately forced his way into the Blues back four.

Ryan has made a huge impact since his arrival – having appeared in all 46 National League games last season. And who can forget the day he scored a memorable volley away at Tranmere to secure a point back in November; a strike was voted second in our ‘Goal of the Season’ award.

Ryan is seen as a key signing as Manager Jon McCarthy seeks to put in place his plans for next season and is the second player to renew his contract for next season – alongside Player/Assistant Manager Tom Shaw.
