Senior Blues Meeting Details: November 2025
The next Senior Blues will take place on Friday November 7th in the Blues Bar, starting at 10:30.
The meeting will open with the AGM. Guest Speakers: Neil Berry CFU Finance Director; Andy Scargill, Friends of the Countess of Chester Country Park.
The Country Park, covering 19 hectares, was once a landfill site next to the Countess of Chester Hospital. Remediated in the 2000s, the land was partially used for housing, with the remaining area given to the Land Trust to develop into a country park.
Officially opened in 2014 by the Duchess of Cornwall, it has since become a popular community space. Andy will give an illustrated talk about its history, its features and its maintenance as a valuable public facility.
The Senior Blues meet on the first Friday of the month from August to May.
Annual subscription costs just £10. Current membership stands in the mid 80’s and new members are always welcome. Income is generated through tea/coffee, merchandise sales and a raffle, with all proceeds being fed back into the Club, principally via the Senior Blues Youth Foundation.
Continued thanks to all members for their generosity and donation of raffle prizes.
