SENIOR CUP PREVIEW | Chester vs Stockport County

The Blues are in Cheshire Senior Cup action this midweek, hosting National League side Stockport County.

Bern and Jonno’s side battled to a goalless draw on 9th October at Kettering Town, but were not in action over the weekend just gone due to Guiseley’s Emirates FA Cup involvement.

In the same competition, our Tuesday night opponents comfortably advanced into the First Round Proper with a 3-0 victory over Stamford. Ryan Croasdale, Paddy Madden and Scott Quigley were on target for the Hatters who currently sit in 10th place in the fifth tier.

This is our first game in this competition since March 2020, when we defeated Tranmere Rovers by a goal to nil. That victory saw us advance to the Semi-Finals of the 2019/20 competition, but was then cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic which also saw the Senior Cup not take place last season.

Admission prices are reduced for this Tuesday night fixture (more info below), and kick off is at 7.45pm. Should the game be level after 90 minutes we go straight to penalties.
