STATEMENT | Safe return of supporters to the Deva

Chester Football Club welcomes today’s announcement regarding the safe return of supporters to stadiums for elite sport events.

The UK Government confirmed clubs in lower transmission areas will be able to welcome back fans in limited numbers from 2 December as follows:

• Tier 1 – Up to a maximum of 4,000 fans or 50 percent of stadium capacity (whatever is lower)
• Tier 2 – Up to a maximum of 2,000 fans or 50 percent of stadium capacity
• Tier 3 – Fans will not be permitted to attend fixtures with elite sport continuing behind closed doors

We are also pleased organised sport is able to resume, which is welcome news for our academy and women’s teams.

The board, managers and players look forward to welcoming our fans back to the Deva Stadium at the earliest opportunity and the club has the utmost confidence in its ability to provide a safe, Covid-secure environment for our supporters to watch their team.
