TEAM OF THE DECADE | Iain Howard completes the midfield!
Another player who climbed the leagues as a firm fan favourite, Iain Howard is an unsurprising inclusion.
The hard-working left midfielder was critical to the rise as the Blues romped to back-to-back-to-back titles; with an impressing scoring record of 35 goals in just 76 starts.
Happily spending his days at Ashton back in 2010, Neil Young approached the winger and the lure of 1,000+ season ticket holders persuaded Howard down to CH1.
Iain was an instrumental figure in the first two seasons and – despite being in and out of the side in the third term – he still played a huge part in the squad that won the Conference North and Cheshire Senior Cup.
Lots will have fond memories of that boiling hot day at Oxford City on the opening day of the 2012/13 season, as Iain struck home the only goal of the game early on.
A true blue fans favourite, Iain Howard takes his place on the left in the Team of the Decade!
