Three youngsters head out to gain experience!

    Chester FC can confirm that three promising youngsters have joined clubs in the Welsh pyramid to gain further experience and continue their development.

    19-year-old goalkeeper Joe ‘Jiff’ Smith has joined newly promoted Welsh Premier side Colwyn Bay on loan until January. The teenager impressed at Ashton Athletic as their number one last term – making over 50 appearances.

    Two of the Under 18’s side who played a huge part in last season’s remarkable FA Youth Cup run have linked up with Cymru North side Flint Town United.

    ‘Keeper Joe Beswick first joined the Blues as an Under-15 and played every FAYC game last year as Mike Allcock’s side reached the Second Round Proper.

    Right-back Sol Forde scored the late winner in the fantastic 2-1 win over South Shields in the First Round last season, as well as assisting the goal against Bradford City in Round Two.

    Sol Forde Academy Players' Player of the Year Peter Mitchell TrophyForde was also named the first recipient of the ‘Peter Mitchell Trophy’ at the end of the season as Academy Players’ Player of the Year.
