Tom Peers signs new contract at Chester FC!
Chester FC are delighted to announce that Tom Peers has signed a new contract at the Deva Stadium!
The 29-year-old is the first to commit for the 2025/26 campaign, joining contracted players Harrison Burke, Oskar Rosenblatt, Declan Weeks and Connor Woods.
Peers had a brilliant 2024/25 season and was the Seals’ top scorer, scoring 21 goals in all competitions – with 19 of these coming in the National League North.
Tom is a Chester FC Academy Graduate and returned to the club from Macclesfield back in October 2023, and made his 100th Blues appearance back in February.
The Warrington-based attacker has signed a new one-year deal with an option to extend further.
Tom had this to say after putting pen to paper: “It was the easiest decision I have ever made, I knew at 7pm on Sunday evening that I wanted to stay with Chester.
“We came so close, and I feel we have some unfinished business to achieve promotion – which has to be the aim next season.
“I have a real attachment to the club and genuinely love playing for Chester, it’s where I started my career and although I’m not quite at the end just yet, I want to be here and will continue to work just as hard, if not harder.
“In the second half of the season our points return was quite special, if we can keep the majority of the squad together and use losing the promotion final as motivation then we know we can be right up there.
“With the Gaffer and his staff it’s such a good place to be, the environment is where you want to be as a player.
“The connection between us as players and the supporters recently was a big factor too, although we are all disappointed to lose on Sunday – let’s go again together this season and take it that one step further.”
He finished: “Even though I scored 21 goals last season I know I can do better. My aim is to beat that goal return and my overall performances on the pitch.
“I am already raring to go (well, after a holiday!) and really excited for the next chapter.”
Great to have you staying on board, Peersy!
