Two Blues return following loan spells
Chester FC can confirm that defender Nathan Woodthorpe and forward Zack Clarke have both returned to the Leap76 Stadium at the end of their respective loan spells.
Nathan made 31 appearances at Marine, scoring on one occasion, and consistently impressed for Neil Young’s side as they reached the FA Cup First Round and currently sit just two points outside the Northern Premier Division Play-Off spots.
The 22-year-old joined the Blues in the summer and made his debut in the pre-season friendly win at Hanley Town in July, having started his career at Crewe Alexandra.
Zack Clarke returns from Caernarfon Town having scored eight goals so far this season and, alongside his spell at the back end of last season at Flint Town United, has 14 goals in his last 30 games in the Welsh top tier.
The Canaries are currently sat 6th in the Welsh Premier table after 21 games.
The 20-year-old attacker is a doubt for Saturday’s game against Gloucester City after sustaining a minor ankle injury in his final match for Caernarfon on New Year’s Eve.
Chester FC would like to thank Marine and Caernarfon Town for facilitating these loans during the first half of the campaign.
Welcome back, Nat and Zack!
