UPDATE | A latest on the lads out on loan representing Chester FC…
Some of Chester FC’s exciting youngsters have made loan moves this week, we take a look at them…
MATTY WATERS AND RHAIN HELLAWELL
Blues duo Matty Waters and Rhain Hellawell have joined Evo Stik Divison One West side Widnes FC until December 8. The duo impressed on loan at Runcorn Town and Barnoldswick respectively and will now play for Steve Akrigg and Kevin Towey’s side – who were promoted from the North West Counties last season.
ALEX DOWNES
Teenage defender Alex Downes has had his loan with Colwyn Bay extended until the end of the season. The versatile Downes has been on loan with the club already, having previously had a temporary spell away at Ramsbottom this term. Alex signed a pro deal with the club in the summer.
THEO ROBERTS
Goalkeeper Theo Roberts has likewise had his loan extended until the end of the season with Buxton FC. The young goalkeeper joined Chester FC in the summer and has impressed at the Evo-Stik Premier side in between the sticks.
Speaking on the loan moves, Joint Boss Anthony Johnson said:
“It’s great to have these lads playing mens football week in, week out to gain vital experience. We are in regular contact with the respective Managers and also have our own people watching the lads so we have a constant eye on their progress.
“Nathan Brown is back with us after his loan spell at Colwyn Bay came to an end, and we are looking at further loan options for him as well.”
Good luck, lads!
