Welcome to Chester FC, Phil Croker!

Chester FC are delighted to announce the signing of Phil Croker from Crewe Alexandra on a 28-day loan deal!

The 19-year-old has made six appearances for the Railwaymen in all competitions this season, following a summer move from National League North outfit Oxford City.

Croker joined the Hoops aged 14 and made a big impact as he progressed to the first team at the age of just 17, making his debut against Dorking Wanderers in the National League in December 2023.

He impressed towards the tail end of Ross Jenkins’ side’s campaign last term, as he started the final eight games of the season and produced form that earned himself a move to the EFL.

The 6’3” centre-back made his League Two debut on New Year’s Day, coming on as a substitute in Crewe’s 4-1 home success over Cheltenham Town.

Blues boss Calum McIntyre gave his thoughts on his new man: “We needed to add a centre half to the group since Hayden Carson was recalled to Wolves, so we are pleased to have been able to get Phil through the door,” he said.

“We wanted a younger option to complement what we already have in the building, and Phil is a really good fit having already played games at this level last season.

“Having resolved this situation, our attention is very much on adding forward players to the group and we hope we will be able to do so over the coming days and weeks.”

    Welcome to Chester FC, Phil!
