Welcome to Chester FC, Zak Emmerson!
Chester FC are delighted to announce the signing of Zak Emmerson from FC Halifax Town on a loan deal until the end of the season!
The talented striker joins the Blues to add options in forward areas as Calum McIntyre shapes his squad for the final 22 games of the campaign.
Emmerson became the second youngest player in EFL history in 2019 when he made a substitute appearance at the age of 15 years and 73 days for Oldham Athletic against Walsall in League Two.
“He is a number nine that has a skill set we will need for the rest of the campaign.”
Cheshire born, the forward signed for Brighton & Hove Albion in 2020, where he netted 31 times for the U18 side, before a switch to Blackpool in 2022.
The 21-year-old was sent on a fruitful loan move to Eastbourne Borough in 2023, scoring five times in 11 appearances, which was followed by a permanent transfer to The Shay in 2024.
On his new addition, Calum said: “We are going to add to the group and Zak is the first part of that. He’s someone I’ve had an interest in before and I’m glad we’ve got this done. We wanted to add at least two forward players and Zak is the first one.
“He is a number nine that has a skill set we will need for the rest of the campaign. It’s important we add to the group ahead of a massive second half of the season and we are working hard to get the right bodies in the building.”
