HER GAME TOO FOCUS FIXTURE
With Friday night football returning to the Deva this week, this fixture has been dedicated to help create further awareness of the Her Game Too campaign, which aims to eradicate sexism in football.
To celebrate the fixture and our partnership, we will be staging a Girls Matchday Takeover for the game that gives girls with a passion for football the chance to go behind the scenes and work alongside staff and volunteers.
We will also welcome the Chester FC Women’s squad and staff, who will be meeting and greeting fans outside the ground, as well as a 90’s ‘Girl Power’ live music set in the Blues Bar from Rebecca!
Special ticket incentives have been in place, with discounts for University of Chester students and free tickets for local girls’ football teams.
We are proud to be partnered with Her Game Too, joining a growing number of clubs from the Premier League, EFL, National League and beyond in showing our commitment to the cause, aiming to raise awareness on sexist abuse within football and create a safer environment for all women in the game.
FOOD AND DRINK
Dough & Go: Once again we are pleased to have Dough & Go selling their fantastic Loaded Fries this Saturday. They have the usual option with cheese, spring and crispy onions and bacon – or an option with chilli and sour cream.
Ginger Cat Coffee: Ginger Cat Coffee will be serving their barista style hot drinks outside the ground before the game in their pop up tent, as well as Iced Coffees!
Blues Bar: Our bar will be open before and after Friday’s match and is stocked up with its usual fine selection of alcohol, soft drinks and snacks.
Kiosks: We also have our kiosks ready to go for once you get inside the ground – with a wide selection of food and drink on offer – including the famous Cowards Pies and fantastic Hot Dogs!
Club Mascot Lupus makes his return to the Deva for this game and will be getting selfies with supporters with our brand new Her Game Too selfie frame!
