WOMENS PREVIEW | Cheshire Cup 2nd Round

The Blues Women have a break from league action this weekend, focusing their attentions on causing a cup upset against higher league opposition Northwich Vixens in the 2nd Round of the Cheshire Cup.

Having competed very well during pre-season against higher league and more established outfits the Blues go into the game in confident mood after last weeks astonishing return to action where they put 13 (yes, 13!) past Glossop North End Ladies.

Chester FC Womens Manager Dean Vian:

I have an extremely talented bunch of players who deserve to test themselves against better opposition.

After a good week training yet again and more work on our new formation I feel we are ready. My players just love playing the game and are at their best when doing just that.

I am very confident the squad can go one better than last season and reach the Quarter Finals for the first time.
