YOUTH | #FundOurFuture on Wednesday!
The #FundOurFuture game on Wednesday just got even more interesting…!
The Blues Under-18’s side won 7-1 yesterday against City of Liverpool in the National League Alliance Division J – meaning a point or more on Wednesday at the Swansway Chester Stadium will see them crowned Champions!
This game takes place the night after the two first team sides lock horns in the National League North!
#FundOurFuture is all about the youth game. The match kicks off at 7pm at the Swansway – and admission is free. However, we would encourage all fans to make a suitable donation as every penny goes into the academy budget for next season. A night like this is a great experience for the young players – however it is also about facing the reality of the miracles the youth department regularly turn out.
So, your donations on the turnstiles, buying a £1 programme and coming to support the lads has a critical impact on the youth department.
Without any FA or EFL funding, they produce talent that have gone on to join Premier League and EFL sides – and their budget is hugely important to ensure Calum McIntyre and his team continue to work their magic.
The Blues Bar will be open before and after the game – so you can catch the end of the Man United vs Barcelona game on the big screen with a pint in hand after the match!
There is also a Hospitality Hotpot running on the night – the same as the Barnsley FA Youth Cup game – so your chance to get a delicious meal, a programme, teamsheet and the best seats in the house for the match. At just £12 per person (£120 for a table of ten) it’s definitely value for money and at the same time you are making a huge difference to the academy. Call 01244 371376 to book in!
Youth Head Coach Calum McIntyre spoke passionately on the event, and said:
The Fund our Future event gives us a real opportunity to raise some significant funds to support our Academy programme. We run on a shoestring budget and need to raise nearly 90% of what we can spend ourselves through a whole multitude of ways. Without this support, running the programme we do is impossible.”
“This event will give supporters the chance to help us raise some real funds as well as see the talent progressing through the Youth ranks at the club. Stockport County are a well established club and provide a real test in what should be an entertaining evening of football at the Swansway Chester Stadium.
“We will be welcoming our new Under 8s intake to the club as well as hosting our new cohort of First Year Scholars to give them a taste of what lies ahead of them over the coming seasons. This will give us an opportunity to show them how unique this club is and what they are becoming a part of. We always get terrific support at the stadium and hope that this occasion will be no different as we look to spend the evening showing what the Chester FC Youth Academy is all about.”
Come and support the stars of the future and donate in what is a vital fundraiser for the academy structure!
