YOUTH | Chester FC Under 19’s will host Luton Town Cedars in Semi-Final at 1885 Arena!

We are pleased to confirm that the 1885 Arena will play host to Chester FC Academy’s National League Alliance Cup Semi-Final next Wednesday against Luton Town Cedars.

The game is in the last four of the national competition which the Blues were winners of back in 2018 – romping to a three-goal victory in the final against FC Halifax Town at Walsall FC’s Stadium.

Kick off is 7.30pm on Wednesday 11th March at the ground, with admission into the East Stand FREE. However, donations will be greatly appreciated at the gate, with every penny going into the Academy budget and help them continue to produce our stars of the future.

Should the match end level after 90 minutes, we will go straight to penalties.

With the lads just one win away from the final and having home advantage, this would be a great opportunity to support the youngsters and hopefully inspire them on to the final!

On this exciting news, Academy Head Coach Calum McIntyre said: “This is a massive game for the Youth section of this football club.

“To be one win away from a National Cup final for the second time in three years is an incredible achievement and one that I personally believe gets taken for granted.

“We have had some terrific nights over the years with the Youth Team under the floodlights at the stadium, but this year’s group have been stung by away cup draws and haven’t had the chance to experience how unique these evenings are at Chester FC.

“The supporters are superb for us and have consistently turned out in numbers for these games and I hope next Wednesday will be no different. They give us a massive boost and it would be magnificent to see a large crowd there to support the boys as they look to achieve something special.

“This group have worked incredible hard this season and haven’t been rewarded in terms of cup draws. It feels like something has finally fallen in our favour and we can see the boys experience what makes this football club so different from others at this level.

“Let’s make it a special night for the lads as we do everything we can to get this club into the final of the National League Alliance Cup. We’ll need your support!”
